What are the symptoms
of Piles?
Symptoms are usually not a cause for concern. However, these
symptoms can also be caused by colo-rectal cancer (a leading cause of cancer
deaths). In the next chapter you will learn when you should consult a doctor.
Symptoms often
include:
• swelling
around anus
• Anal
itching. (Pruritus anii)
• A
purplish lump around the anus, reduceable or non reduceable.
• Bright red blood on toilet tissue,
in the stool, in the toilet bowl, or on undergarments with or without pain.
• Mucous on
undergarments.
Bleeding type may
differ-
-Jet like bleeding.
-splash in pan.
-Drop by drop.
Pain may become severe when pile mass get twisted at base or
blood inside pile mass get thrombosed.
