Sign and symptoms of Piles, Fissures, Fistula

The Piles is derived from the word ‘pila’, means ball. Piles is ball like swelling in the anal canal. It is divided into two categories.

  • Internal Hemorrhoid
  • External Haemmorrhoid 
An anal fissure, fissure in Ano or rectal fissure is a break or tear in the skin of the anal canal.

Anal fistula / fistula-in-ano, is an inflammatory track which has an external opening (secondary opening) in the penanal skin and an internal opening (primary opening) in the anal canal or rectum. This track is lined by unhealthy granulation tissue and fibrous tissue.

Sign and symptoms of Piles, Fissures, Fistula

. Bleeding from the anus alongside defecation.

. Bleeding of bright red blood.

. Blood and pain while defecating.

. Blood streaked stools (fissures).

. Drops of bright red blood after stools (piles).

. Mucus discharge and itching.

. Prolapse of piles - either it return them selves or got to get replaced manually.

. Sensation of incomplete evacuation of rectum.

. Stools being evacuated from vagina (in case of anal fistula).
